iHeartMedia Indianapolis & St. Louis SVP/Programming Ben Marcotte has moved to San Diego to serve as Program Director of Classic Rock 101.5 KGB-FM and “Rock 105.3” KIOZ.
Marcotte has been in Indianapolis where he also served as PD/afternoon host for Classic Alternative “Indy 103.3” WOLT since its launch in November 2020 and later adding programming duties for Classic Rock “Q95” WFBQ in December 2022 and moved to SVP for both markets at the start of 2025. Marcotte joined the company in 2012 as APD/MD for three stations in Spokane WA and later served as PD of “Alt 102.9” KFOO and “96.5 Jack-FM” KJAQ Seattle, “Alt 102.3″ KKRZ-HD2 Portland, and “Alt 96.1” KFOO Spokane. He also held production roles at WLS Chicago.
He commented, “This felt like one of those opportunities you don’t overthink. Two legendary stations, incredible teams, and a chance to do great radio in San Diego. Excited to get started.”
