Wisconsin based Civic Media is expanding to Iowa as new subsidiary Cedar Basin Media is acquiring NRG Media’s four station cluster in Waterloo.
Terms have not been disclosed. Included in the deal are Classic Hits 105.7 KOKZ Waterloo, “Rock 108” KFMW Waterloo, Classic Country “107.3 Hank-FM” 1330 KPTY/107.3 K297BS Waterloo, and News/Talk 1540 KXEL/100.5 K263BZ Waterloo.
NRG Media has been in the process of selling off their properties. Following the closing of this deal and pending sales in Lincoln NE and Wausau WI, only its two stations in Ottawa IL will remain.
