Ephrata Radio LLC has purchased Variety Hits “94.5 Roxy” KRXY Shelton/Olympia WA from Olympia Broadcasters Inc. as part of the seller’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Ephrata will pay $27,500 in an as-is sale of the station with an immediate LMA. The station has immediately begun simulcasting the buyer’s full-service Classic Hits 1030 KMAS/103.3 K277CZ Shelton. KMAS has also begun leasing 101.9 K270CJ Olympia from Northwest Indy Radio, which Olympia Broadcasters had previously been operating with Sports Betting programming.
KRXY had let go of all of its employees in July along with filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection. The station previously featured a broad 70s through now Variety Hits format. The deal includes a $1900 per-month LMA until closing.
