Audacy has completed the move of Sports “670 The Score” WSCR and News 780 WBBM Chicago to the tower site of Salem Media’s 1160 WYLL Chicago.

Originally proposed in July 2024, the two stations will share one of the two previously unused towers vacated by WYLL moving its nighttime array to a different location in 2007. WSCR will continue to operate with 50kW day/night, while WBBM increases power to 45kW day and 43kW night. The move marks the second time in a decade that WBBM has relocated as it began diplexing with WSCR in 2019 after its home of 75 years was sold to a real estate developer for $46 million. At that time, WBBM dropped from 50kW to 35kW day/42kW night, but with no change in coverage just like this move.

The move of WSCR and WBBM comes as Audacy has sold the now former site of the stations. Real estate investment trust, Prologis, which focuses on the development of warehouse complexes purchased the 25.72 acre site that housed the two AMs as well as SBS Regional Mexican “La Ley 107.9” WLEY-FM Aurora from Audacy’s Audacy Atlas LLC divestiture group for approximately $29.3 million.
