SummitMedia Country “K95.3” WKHK Colonial Heights/Richmond VA debuted a revamped on-air lineup today as Brand Manager Carletta Blake debuted in mornings today.
Blake, who joined WKHK in October 2025, has been hosting afternoons for the past year. “Carletta in the Morning” succeeds Premiere Networks’ “The Bobby Bones Show” on WKHK after an eight year run on the station.
She wrote, “Sometimes it’s crazy how life turns out. My dream had always been morning radio. And as I progressed in my career, my goals shifted, as they usually do. I went down a different path, and that was okay. And then in 2020, morning radio became a reality! I loved it, and when it ended in 2024, I was so grateful for the experience. Getting to know so many listeners who truly became friends was such a gift and I was so thankful. I didn’t think it would probably ever happen again, but as the saying goes, God knew better. ✨ Now, almost one year to the day that I’ve been in Richmond on K95.3, we’re bringing local mornings back to Central Virginia! I can’t wait to hear your stories, to laugh with you, and keep you connected to the music and artists you love.”
Blake previously worked at iHeartMedia Country 99.5 WGAR Cleveland from 2019 to 2024 with time in afternoons, mornings, and middays at the station. She previously programmed “B93.9” WNCB Raleigh and 95.1 WRNS Kinston NC and has worked on-air at “96.7 The Twister” KTYS Dallas.
With Blake’s move to mornings, WQNU Louisville morning host Brent ‘Dingo’ Crank will add afternoons on WKHK in addition to being heard in afternoons on WZZK Birmingham AL and WCYQ Knoxville TN.
