Dimes Media sells Country “US 101” 1490 KRKC/101.5 K268DW/104.9 K285FW King City, Classic Hits “Pop 102.1” KRKC-FM/106.9 K295BZ King City, and Spanish Classic Hits “Xtra 104.7” KSGG Soledad CA to Carlos Zuriel Rojas’ Rio Broadcasting for $150,000. Dimes retains its cluster of stations in San Luis Obispo.
Stephen Woodward’s KORE Broadcasting sells Sports “Fox Sports Eugene” 1050 KORE Springfield-Eugene/102.9 K275CX Eugene OR to Danny Havel’s Bulldog Media Broadcasting LLC for $414,000, with $314,000 of that held in a promissory note. Havel began operating the station via LMA on July 1 when he relaunched the station as “The Sports Animal” and began co-hosting “The Drive” in afternoons with Steve Mims and Justin Grossweiner. He previously held station management positions in Salina and Garden City KS.
Family Stations sells Silent 1150 WCUE Cuyahoga Falls/Cleveland OH to Dale Edwards’ Radio Advantage One for $5000. As part of the deal the buyer must provide four hours of daily airtime between 6am and 6pm to the seller for ten years. Edwards also owns 1000 WABQ Parma and 1460 WCCD Painesville.
The Manuel Sargento led Prestige Media Group purchases News/Talk 1480 WSAR/95.9 W240EB Fall River MA from Jim Karam’s Bristol County Broadcasting for $50,000. As part of the deal the sellers will pay 50% of the cost of installation of a diplex filter and tower to relocate WSAR to the site of 1400 WHTB Fall River, as well as 50% of moving the station to new studios.
