Spring Arbor University has pulled the plug on its student-run Christian AC “89.3 The Arbor” on WJKN-FM Spring Arbor/Jackson MI and its network of translators across the state with the signals now carrying West Central Michigan Media Ministries Christian Preaching “Strong Tower Radio“.
In addition to WJKN-FM, the move impacts 92.3 W222BB Battle Creek, 97.1 W246AU Coldwater, 98.3 W252BA Chelsea, 98.3 W252CN Lansing, 99.5 W258AH Kalamazoo, 101.7 W269CS Galesburg, and 107.9 W300CO Dexter/Ann Arbor. The move brings the Strong Tower network to now over 20 signals across northern and western Michigan and central Illinois.
Strong Tower said, “Strong Tower Radio welcomes listeners to our new broadcasting station 89.3 WJKN-FM Spring Arbor and it’s translators in Battle Creek, Coldwater, Galesburg, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Chelsea. Our heavenly Father has guided us through many obstacles to bring these new stations to broadcast, and we praise His Holy Name! Strong Tower Radio’s mission is to proclaim God’s true character, as seen in the face and life of Jesus Christ and recorded in the Holy Bible, through broadcasting powerful Bible messages, beautiful music that lifts the soul heavenward, stirring testimonies of the Holy Spirit transforming lives today, and special topics of interest as we near the imminent return of Jesus Christ and Earth’s final day. We thank all who by the Holy Spirit’s leading are sustaining these stations. Thank you, listeners, and welcome: we pray you are blessed.”
With the move, Spring Arbor University has moved its student run Christian AC programming to “106.9 Home-FM” WSAE Spring Arbor replacing its mix of Christian and secular pop and alternative.
