3hive LLC has begun operating North Point Broadcasting’s 92.9 KPUT Mona/Provo UT bringing their internet station to broadcast.

Featuring an Indie/Alternative playlist, “Radio3Hive” launched online in 2022 and began broadcasting on KPUT last month. 3Hive started as a music blog in 2004 and launched 3Hive Record Lounge in 2018 in downtown Provo.

3Hive’s Todd Simmons told Salt Lake City Weekly, “We’ve built a really good following of regulars and we’re right on Center Street, so we get a lot of foot traffic. We’ve been out there for eight years now and we still have people who come into the store like, ‘We had no idea you were out here.” He added, “Our big push is handpicked music by a human for humans, and that’s true. There’s a whole lot of behind-the-scenes that happen to make the station sound the way that it sounds, and we’re really proud of what we’ve got going on.”
