Cumulus Media AC “107.9 The Mix” WNTR Indianapolis is launching a new morning show featuring Toni DeKeyser and Ryan Swiger that will also trigger a lineup revamp on CHR 99.5 WZPL.
“The Morning Mix with Toni & Ryan” will see DeKeyser move from Dave Smiley’s morning show on WZPL where she was a producer and co-host to join Swiger at WNTR. She has been with the cluster since 2001 when she joined WZPL as a promotions assistant and rose to Marketing Director of the then-Entercom Indianapolis cluster. She moved to Smiley’s morning show in 2011 and also had been hosting middays at WNTR. Swiger, who also serves as MD/afternoon host at WZPL as ‘Crash’, previously spent three years in Indianapolis in multiple dayparts at CHR “Radio Now 100.9” WNOW-FM, programmed CHR “95.3 Gorilla” WZNF Gulfport MS and also worked in Charlotte NC, and Terre Haute and Vincennes IN.
With DeKeyser’s move to mornings at WNTR, she and ‘Producer Will’ will swap stations in middays with she moving to middays at WZPL, while Will takes the midday slot at WNTR. She commented, “I couldn’t be more excited about this new morning show! We’re hoping to bring a fresh, upbeat energy to mornings — lots of positivity, fun and, hopefully, a reason to smile before you’ve even had your first cup of coffee.”
Swiger added, “Toni brings experience and a winning record to the show that can’t be matched. I’m super excited to see what the future brings for The Mix Morning Show!”
Cumulus Regional Vice President Darlene Park stated, “We are incredibly excited to bring the Indianapolis area a live, local morning show that truly reflects the lives of the listeners we serve every day. Toni and Ryan bring an authentic connection to our community, not only as talented entertainers but as parents navigating many of the same experiences as our audience. From raising teenagers to surviving sleepless nights with twins, they understand the joys, challenges, and humor of family life. We believe their chemistry, relatability, and passion for our great community will make mornings on The Mix 107.9 FM a destination for listeners seeking connection, entertainment and a great start to their day.”
