Just under two years after launching, Orozco Broadcasting has ceased operations of Regional Mexican “La Z 96.5” KZOM Claypool and 96.5 K243BN/94.5 KOOL-HD3 Laveen/Phoenix AZ.
KZOM rimshots the Phoenix market from the east near Globe AZ, with K243BN covering the city of Phoenix as well adjacent suburbs such as Glendale, Peoria and Sun City. Orozco had purchased the stations in 2024 for $2.4 million and launched “La Z” in December 2024.
A filing with the FCC to take the stations silent notes that the stations went silent for financial reasons.
