Ryan Gibbons has joined Saga Communications Rock “Lazer 103.3” KAZR Pella/Des Moines IA as its new morning host.
Gibbons most recently served as morning producer at iHeartMedia Classic Rock 102.5 KZOK Seattle from July 2024 until exiting in April. He had an earlier run as morning producer at KZOK from 2013 to 2016 with a stint in-between at Audacy CHR “103.7 Kiss-FM” WXSS Milwaukee. He has also worked at WYSP Philadelphia.
Program Director Wes Styles said, “I’m thrilled beyond words to join the legendary crew at Lazer 103.3. Huge thanks to OM, Leigh McNabb, PD, Styles, and GM, Amber Battani for believing in me and giving me this phenomenal opportunity. Let’s make some noise, Lazer Hellraisers!
Styles commented, “We’re excited to have Gibbons join the LAZER team, bringing his amazing level of energy and sense of humor to Des Moines. He’s already hitting the streets, meeting the Hellraisers, and invading the jumbotron at the Iowa Wild with one of the greatest air guitar solos in history.”
Gibbons fills the morning slot that most recently had been held by Heather Lee and Mike Wickett. Wickett had departed the show at the end of March, while Lee exited in early August.
