Lotus Adds Two AMs In Las Vegas

1230 KLAV 1340 KRLV Las Vegas Lotus BroadcastingLotus Broadcasting has acquired Brokered Talk 1230 KLAV and Brokered Spanish Talk 1340 KRLV Las Vegas from Hemisphere Media for $800,000.

The two stations will join a Lotus cluster in Las Vegas that includes Active Rock 92.3 KOMP, Classic Rock “97.1 The Point” KXPT, Regional Mexican “La Buena 101.9” KWID, “Fox Sports 920” KBAD, “ESPN Radio 1100” KWWN/98.9 K257BU, and “ESPN Deportes 1460” KENO.

Both 1230 and 1340 operate with 1kW daily, although 1340 has a Construction Permit to move to KLAV’s tower where it will operate with 1kW daytime and 900 watts at night.

  1. For two stations on those frequencies with 1,000 watts, both KLAV-1230 and KRLV-1340 actually have decent signals and cover much of their respective markets.

    Both have far better than comparable stations here in New England!
