Clear Channel Alternative “98.7 FM” KYSR Los Angeles has a new name.
After six years of just identifying by its frequency, the station has rebranded as “Alt 98.7“. In the July PPM’s, KYSR ranked 17th in the market with a 2.6 share placing it behind CBS competitor 106.7 KROQ’s 3.6. 98.7 did outcume 106.7 by a slim margin; 2,308,400 to 2,296,100.

It baffles me how Clear Channel and CBS both have alt stations in Los Angeles, but New York City is lacking in this format.
