Townsquare Media flipped Classic Hits “97.5 Kool-FM” KOLW Basin City/Kennewick/Richland/Pasco, WA to Rhythmic CHR “Hot 97.5” at 3pm today.
The new format allows Townsquare to flank sister Hot AC “98.3 The Key” KEYW against James Ingstad’s CHR “Power 99.1” KUJ-FM. In the Spring 2013 Arbitron ratings, KUJ-FM ranked second in the market with a 10.2 share placing it just behind Townsquare’s market leading Country 102.7 KORD. KOLW’s previous Classic Hits format had a 3.5 share.
