EMF Broadcasting has closed on its $6.8 Million acquisition of 97.9 KXPC Aloha/Portland and launched the station as part of the “K-Love” Christian AC network.
The station, which previously served the Eugene market as Rock KNRQ, gives EMF a full-market signal for its programming. K-Love had been available in Portland on rimshot 88.7 KLVP Sandy and translators 95.9 K240CZ Tigard and 96.3 K242AF Portland.
EMF has applied to change the originating stations for a number of its Portland area translators, which will likely see some of them switch to their “Air1” Christian CHR network. 92.7 K224DL Portland will shift from Clear Channel’s 103.3 KKCW-HD3 to EMF’s 88.1 KGRI Lebanon, 95.9 K240CZ from KXPC to 88.7 KLVP, 97.5 K248BS Newberg from KKCW-HD3 to KLVP, and 102.7 K274AR from 106.7 KLTH-HD3 to 90.3 KZRI Welches.
