Taking advantage of the flip of Variety Hits “98.7 The Peak” KPKX Phoenix to Sports on Monday, Clear Channel has flipped Rhythmic AC “Eva 95.5” KYOT Phoenix to fill the void.
At 5pm KYOT relaunched as Variety Hits “95.5 The Mountain“. Positioning itself with the “We Play Everything” branding used by KPKX, The Mountain describes itself on its website as “A fun, music motivated station that plays hundreds of artists from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.”.
This is the third format change in Phoenix in 2014 after the merger of Hot AC’s “My 103.9” KEXX and “Hot 97.5” KMVA and the aforementioned KPKX to Sports.
