The upcoming demise of Scott Shannon’s True Oldies Channel has led to a format change in the Quad Cities as Townsquare Media flipped “True Oldies 1170” KJOC Davenport, IA to Sports as “ESPN 1170” today.
KJOC will air the national ESPN programming lineup in its entirety while remaining the local affiliate for Chicago Cubs baseball and Iowa State University sports. This is the second run for Sports with the ESPN affiliation for KJOC. The station previously carried the network from 1993 to 2003 before flipping to News/Talk and then Oldies.
