FCC Update Translator Construction Permit ApplicationsKasa Radio Hogar is acquiring Spanish Christian 580 KSAZ Marana/Tucson from Owl Broadcasting & Development for $1.37 million. Kasa Radio Hogar has been operating KSAZ under a Time Brokerage Agreement.

Harold and Eric Zwidler will acquire silent 960 WHYL Carlisle, PA out of bankruptcy from trustee Trustworthy Radio for $30,000. The Zwidlers own the other two commercial stations licensed to Carlisle: Classic Country 1000 WIOO and Country “Red 102.3” WCAT-FM.

Easy Radio Inc. sells Standards “Stardust 105.7” WMXH Luray and Classic Country/Bluegrass 1330 WRAA Luray to Hayden Hamilton Media Strategies for $325,000 plus a non-compete agreement between the three members of the selling company.

Selah Corporation sells 89.5 KFAA Horace, ND to Educational Media Foundation for $1 plus the assumption of $3200 in fees associated with the transaction.

Jose Antonio Aguilar sells 102.1 KHBE Big Wells, TX to non-profit Organacion ICC for $75,000.

Wagonwheel Communications acquires 104.3 KFZE Daniel, WY from Martin Durst for $50,000. Wagonwheel will begin operating KFZE immediate under an LMA.

Manchester Communications sells “Rock 105.7” WTBK to Choice Radio Corporation for $425,000. Choice began operating WTBK via LMA in March.

Calvary Baptist Church sells 89.7 KWFJ Roy, WA to Bible Broadcasting Network for $100,000.

Vandalia Media Partners acquires Classic Hits 1360 WMOV Ravenswood from Allen Media Stations and 106.5 K293AK Ripley, WV from Spiceman Radio for a combined $80,000. Vandalia will begin operating both stations via LMA.

Clear Channel sells 103.3 K277CR Durango, CO to Peter Tran for $15,000.

Radio-One sells 104.3 W282AX Gaffney, SC to Fowler Broadcast Communications to finalize last year’s sale of 1500 WZZQ Gaffney.

97.3 W247BZ Lewisburg, WV goes from Faith Communications Network to Radio Greenbrier for $10.

Life On The Way Communications donates 88.5 K203CH Juneau, AK to Capital Christian Broadcasting.

Radio Desafio Network donates 107.9 K300CW Indio, CA to Ondas de Vida Network.

Bethel Fellowship sells 101.5 W268CE Beaver Dam, KY to Beech Tree Publishing for $26,800. Bethel concurrently applies to relocate the translator to Morgantown, KY and increase power from 70 watts at 8 meters to 250 watts at 90 meters rebroadcasting Classic Hits 1570 WLBQ Morgantown (Coverage Map).

Progressive Broadcasting System sells 106.1 W291BQ Plymouth, IN to Community Service Broadcasters for $55,000. W291BQ seeks an increase from 99 watts at 25 meters to 250 watts at 36 meters rebroadcasting Community Service Broadcaster’s Full Service Classic Hits “1050 The Chief” WTCA Plymouth.

Station Moves

Stephens Media’s Christian AC 100.9 KXOJ-FM Sapulpa/Tulsa holds a CP to increase from a Class A with 5kW at 110 meters to a C3 with 15kW at 129 meters. Stephens has applied to modify that to 19kW at 114 meters (Coverage Map).

Cochise Broadcasting’s Classic Rock 98.9 KZKX Doney Park/Flagstaff, AZ seeks to double its power output from 235 watts at 610 meters to 560 watts (Coverage Map).

South Central Oklahoma Christian Broadcasting’s 88.7 KTMU Muenster, TX has applied to relocate to Oak Ridge, TX with 110 watts at 92 meters (Coverage Map).

Following its sale last week, 105.1 KZKK Huron, SD has applied to relocate to 92.1 with 2kW at 45 meters (Coverage Map).

With its Construction Permit set to expire next month, Urban One Broadcasting Network’s 97.7 WURB Cross City, FL has applied to downgrade from a Class C3 with 25kW at 79 meters to a Class A with 6kW at 37 meters in order to get the station on-air before its permit expires (Coverage Map).

Translator Moves

The FCC has deleted the licenses of Mars Hill Broadcasting Company’s 88.1 W201CY Dansville, NY and Spread The Gospel, Inc.’s 99.9 W260BW Egg Harbor, NJ for failing to file a license renewal by the February 1 deadline.

Due to interference cause to KDKA-FM Pittsburgh, Y-Town Radio Broadcasting’s Urban AC “Star 93.7” W232AI Niles, OH has filed to relocate to 94.7 with a slight power drop from 200 to 160 watts at 297 meters. The translator will change COL to Girard, OH while continuing to rebroadcast 1330 WGFT Campbell (Coverage Map).

Adams Radio’s CP for 96.9 W245CA Fort Wayne seeks to increase from 13 watts at 111.3 meters to 250 watts at 86 meters (Coverage Map). W245CA will rebroadcast 103.9 WXKE-HD2.

Alaska Integrated Media’s 95.5 K238BE Anchorage applies to relocate to 95.1 with 250 watts at 187 meters (Coverage Map) due to the impending sign-on of 95.5 KNLT Palmer (Coverage Map). K238BE rebroadcasts “Hot Talk 1080” KOAN Anchorage.

Thunderbolt Broadcasting’s 99.7 W259BT Dyersburg, TN has proposed to relocate northeast to South Fulton with 250 watts at 89 meters (Coverage Map) rebroadcasting News/Talk 1410 WCMT Martin.

Kaskaskia Broadcasting’s 94.5 K233BI Muscatine, IA seeks to relocate to 95.1 with an increase from 10 watts at -13.8 meters to 250 watts at 94 meters (Coverage Map) rebroadcasting Farm/Oldies 860 KWPC Muscatine.

Black Media Works applies to increase 99.7 W259CC Immokalee, FL from 50 watts at 64.8 meters to 250 watts rebroadcasting Glades Media’s 1490 WAFZ Immokalee (Coverage Map).
