Alpha Media Urban “Hot 103.9” WHXT Orangeburg/Columbia, SC is now simulcasting on 93.9 WSCZ Winnsboro, SC.
WSCZ, owned by Miller Communications, had been “Cat Country 93.9” rimshotting Columbia from north of the city. With WHXT covering the market from the south, the addition of the 93.9 signal increases Hot’s coverage of the entire market.
Despite the signal limitations, “Hot 103.9” was tied for second in the market with an 8.0 share in the Summer Phase 1 Nielsen Audio ratings trends trailing only sister Urban AC “101.3 The Big DM” WWDM-FM.
