Variety Rock 105.1 KJOT J105 Boise Journal CommunicationsJournal Communications Classic Rock “Variety Rock 105.1” KJOT Boise has rebranded as just “Rock 105.1“.

Prior to a Christmas Music stunt in 2012, KJOT’s format featured Rock hits from the 1960’s through 2000’s which explained the Variety part of its moniker. The rebranding comes with the station bringing back 90’s songs into its mostly 70’s/80’s based playlist. In the Spring 2014 Nielsen Audio ratings, KJOT’s 3.5 share trailed Cumulus Media’s Classic Rock “96.9 The Eagle” KKGL’s 5.6.

KJOT is part of a Journal “Wall of Rock” in Boise along with Active Rock “100.3 The X” KQXR and AAA “94.9 The River” KRVB. The company also owns Classic Hits “107.1 K-Hits” KTHI in Boise.
