Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting is acquiring Gospel 1600 WCPK Chesapeake, VA from Christian Broadcasting of Chesapeake in exchange for building out the seller’s 1400 WPCE Portsmouth and a one year free lease for that station’s antenna. Following the first year, WPCE will pay a lease price starting at $600 a month with a 5% annual increase for 15 years. Chesapeake-Portsmouth has been operating 1600 WCPK via Time Brokerage Agreement since January. Following the sale it will join a local cluster including Christian Preaching 1010 WPMH Portsmouth, Gospel “The Light 1270” WTJZ Newport News, and Conservative Talk “1650 The Answer” WHKT Portsmouth.

The Estate of Albert Pereira is selling “NBC Sports 620” KIGS Hanford/Visalia, CA to New Media Communications for $625,000. Two of the partners in the buyer operate stations elsewhere. 50% owner Harinder Singh owns Vancouver, BC targeting 1110 KRPA Oak Harbor, WA and 1340 KWLE Anacortes, WA, while 10% owner Sukhdev Signh Dhillon owns two stations in Canada.

Country 800 KBRV Soda Springs and 92.7 K224EJ Montpelier, ID goes from Flash Broadcasting to Old West Media for $110,500.

Northeast Colorado Broadcasting purchases Christian AC 100.1 KSIK Fleming/Sterling, CO from Fireside Radio for $50,000 and will begin operating the station via Time Brokerage Agreement on November 1. Northeast Colorado Broadcasting owns Country “94.5 The Ranch” KRFD Merino, Hot AC 105.7 KPMX Sterling, Country “B106.3” KPRB Brush, and Farm 1010 KSIR Brush.

Non-commercial Classic Country 88.7 KOOW Crook, CO is also going to the partners of Northeast Colorado Broadcasting. 3G Learning Solutions is transferring the station to the group under the name Prairie Community Radio for $20,000.

Translator Sales

Minn-Iowa Christian Broadcasting is purchasing 91.5 K218DK Bloomington/Minneapolis and 106.5 K293BA Elko, MN from Refuge Media Group for $147,000. Both translators will rebroadcast Minn-Iowa’s Christian 104.5 KJLY Blue Earth/Mankato.

Davidson Media is purchasing 99.1 W256BP Charlotte, NC from Isothermal Community College for $500,000. The translator is already licensed to rebroadcast Davidson’s Spanish Tropical 1030 WNOW Mint Hill.

Fred & Evelyn Morton sell 96.5 K243BJ Oklahoma City to Tyler Media for $100. The translator is currently operated by Tyler as CHR “Now 96.5” rebroadcasting 107.7 KRXO-HD2, however the application states Sports “The Franchise 2” 1560 KEBC Del City will be the originating station.

The Rutherford Group purchases 101.9 W270AF Murfreesboro, TN from Great Southern Broadcasting Company for $10,000. W270AF already rebroadcasts Rutherford’s News/Talk 1450 WGNS Murfreesboro.

Conner Media sells 97.9 W250AZ Rocky Mount, NC to PMC Broadcasting for $70,000. The sale specifies 89.7 WCPE Raleigh as the originating station for W250AZ.
