Joule Broadcasting’s 104.7 WELJ Montauk, NY/New London, CT has flipped to a simulcast of Country “94.7 Nash-FM” WNSH Newark/New York.
WELJ had been airing a Hot AC format directed at the New London market including a simulcast of 95.5 WPLJ New York’s “Todd Show” in the morning. It becomes the third Country station targeting the New London market along with Hall Communications 97.7 WCTY Norwich and Red Wolf Broadcasting’s “US Country 99.5” W258BI New London. On the eastern most end of Long Island, where the WELJ transmitter is located, WELJ will fill a coverage hole for WNSH.
WELJ Afternoon host Jody remains with Cumulus as news anchor/traffic reporter for the other three stations in its New London cluster.
Joule Broadcasting is a divestiture trust for some of the stations acquired in the Cumulus/Citadel merger.
