Well, why not? Everything else has been tried…except selling the damned thing. Anyone know what acreage in Rockwall is going for these days?

Given that iHeart Media has made LMA deals with Bloomberg, I’m surprised that KFXR-1190 didn’t get LMA’d out to Bloomberg.

Dallas is the major business center of the Southwest for most industries (except energy; I suspect Houston would be the center of the energy business in the So0uthwest), so Bloomberg programming might make sense in that markert.

I should have noted above that Bloomberg’s LMA’s with iHeart’s deals are in Boston and San Francisco.

KFXR’s 12-tower night pattern is the main reason why the station can’t succeed. That, and it simply has been devoid of any identity since KLIF moved to 570 a generation ago.

Hate to say it, but the land where the towers sit on is likely more valuable than the station itself.

Not buying that excuse as 11~Nintety’s daytime coverage is King Kong when most listening to Ancient Modulation occurs. But you’re right, the land where those 12 sticks resides has got to be worth something. I Heart Debt paid beau coup bucks for the station when everyone knew it was dead in the water. Some suit remembers that and doesn’t want to take a haircut.
