The Classic Hip-Hop format launch boom is showing no signs of slowing down.
iHeartMedia Urban AC “V101.5” WSOL Brunswick, GA/Jacksonville, FL is today’s entrant to the format as it is now branding itself as “The New Throwback Hip-Hop & R&B for Duval”. WSOL is now focusing on music from the 1990’s and early 2000’s with the change. The station will continue to feature the syndicated Steve Harvey in mornings.
WSOL was ranked tenth in the market in the October 2014 Nielsen Audio PPM Ratings with a 4.4 share. The Urban AC audience will still be served in Jacksonville by Cox Media’s “Hot 106.5” WHJX.
