The Circuit Court of St. Louis County has appointed Detalus Consulting as Bankruptcy Receiver for Grand Slam Sports 590 KFNS Wood River, IL and 1380 KXFN St. Louis. KFNS has been silent since last Halloween following non-payment of its transmitter lease, but has never filed a Silent STA with the FCC. At the time the ownership stated it was in negotiations to sell KFNS to a religious operator.
Catholic Radio Network is converting its LMA of 1060 KRCN Longmont/Denver, CO into a purchase as it acquires the station from Pilgrim Communications for $850,000.
Meanwhile Catholic Radio Network’s former Denver affiliate has been sold again as Loveland Radio Partners sells 1570 KKCL Loveland, CO to Vic Michael’s Kona Coast Radio for $80,000. Loveland Radio Partners had reacquired KKCL from Catholic Radio Network in March for $10 and the cancellation of $569,000 in debt.
James Anderson is transferring the three stations held by Sunburst Media-Louisiana LLC to his My Home Team Media. First Anderson is buying out partner John Borders’ 43.5070% stake in the company for $50,000 and $1,070,569 in outstanding debt. My Home Team Media will also pay back $459,461 in debt to Tejas Broadcasting, $201,525 due on the lease of KCIL’s tower site, and $56,700 due on the lease of KXOR’s tower site. The stations involved in the sale are Country “C96.7” KCIL-FM Gray, Rock “LA 106.3” KXOR-FM Thibodaux and Regional Mexican 1490 KJIN Houma, LA.
The Estate of Robert Haynes is transferring the license of Country “Q94” 94.3 WQZX Greenville, AL to Jeffrey Kyle Haynes, Robert Kelly Haynes, Kim Herman, and Vanessa Taylor with each holding a 25% stake.
Sam Beard and David Ruckman’s Pecos Valley Broadcasting are transferring 3% shares in the company to VP/General Manager Eugene Dymkowski and General Sales Manager Thomas Beard. The company owns News/Talk 990 KSVP Artesia, Country “KZ93” 92.9 KTZA Artesia, Regional Mexican “Fierro 106.1” KPZE-FM Carlsbad, and Conservative Talk 106.5 KEND Roswell, NM.
Patrick County Communications sells Oldies 1270 WHEO Stuart, VA to the non-profit Patrick Community Media for $94,000. The buyer brought the Silent station back on-air via LMA on September 1.
Translator Sales
Palmetto Media Partners acquires the CP for 98.1 W251BZ Orangeburg, SC from Radio Training Network for $40,000. W251BZ is licensed to rebroadcast RTN’s 88.3 WAFJ Belvedere, SC.
In a series of transactions Divine Mercy Broadcasting will acquire eight translators in Washington. Dr. Mike Isenhart sells 96.7 K244DY Twisp, 98.7 K254CJ Chelan, 104.7 K284BC Winthrop, and 105.9 K290BD Omak for $31,200. Jerry Isenhart sells 92.1 K221BT Othello for $70,800. The Jerald Edson Isenhart Trust sells 97.3 K247CH Entiat and 97.9 K250BL Brewster for $15,600 and Susan Smith sells 96.5 K243CD Brewster for $2400. The translators will all rebroadcast Divine Mercy’s 88.7 KDMB Moses Lake, WA.
MWB Broadcasting purchases 98.9 K255BV O’Neill, NE from Edgewater Broadcasting for $12,000 to rebroadcast The Praise Network’s 105.3 KGRD Orchard.
Nebraska Rural Radio Association purchases Silent 106.9 K295BI Kearney, NE from Radio 74 Internationale for $22,500. K295BI will rebroadcast Talk/Farm 880 KRVN Lexington.
