Update 7/14: Citadel adds a pair of other domain registrations for WDVW: SmoothJazz923NewOrleans.com and Sports923NewOrleans.com. These have all the markings of decoys registered after word of the first registration got out to keep the competition guessing. As a local market observer tells us, all of the sports network affiliations are claimed in New Orleans.

Original Report 7/12: Just a few weeks after Clear Channel flipped KYRK to “104.1 The Brew”, it appears Citadel is preparing to bring a current Rock format back to New Orleans. Low-rated Adult CHR “Mix 92.3” WDVW appears to be on the verge of flipping to Rock as “Rock 92.3“. Citadel registered Rock923NewOrleans.com on Friday, July 9.
