Built on the backs of strong morning shows hosted by Jayde Donovan and later Miguel Fuller and Holly O'Connor, WPOI would enter a bitter format battle with iHeartMedia's 93.3 WFLZ. Since the early 2022 departures of Miguel and Holly to iHeart's " Hits 96.1 " WHQC Charlotte and May 2022 departure of Program Director Will Calder, WPOI has has limited resources allocated to it leading to the station's drop in ratings as it registered a 2.2 share in the July 2023 Nielsen Audio survey, behind WFLZ's 3.3 share. Now the end appears near for the Hot 101.5 brand after a 12 year run. Cox registered domains on Monday pointing at a revamp as " Vibe 101.5 " with registrations for 1015Vibe.com , TheVibe1015.com , Vibe1015.com , TheVibeTampaBay.com , and TampaBaysVibe.com as well as TampaBayJamz.com and TampasBayJamz.com . With that brand, we'd expect some variation of Rhythmic Hot AC similar to Cox's " Hits 97.3 " WFLC Miami or Classic Hip Hop. [/membership]
