A number of other domains were also transferred to the Cox server, however none of them are active. These are: 1069TheBeat.com, 1069TheRef.com, 1069TheRiver.com, Hot1069FM.com, and TheFox1069.com.
Original Post 10/24/10: In recent months Clear Channel Modern Rock “94.5 The Buzz” KTBZ Houston has surged to the top of the ratings by having the non-classic rock market to itself. The everything to everyone approach has worked well with little competition, but can a station that plays everything from Third Eye Blind to Pantera succeed with a direct competitor in the format?
Cox Radio will soon put that theory to the test. The company will soon put “106.9 The Point” KHPT to rest; one of the final 80’s & More stations that spread in the early 2000’s. KHPT has hovered near the bottom of the ratings in recent months with a low cume to match. A registration of 1069TheZone.com was made by Cox’s registrar on Friday, while a Twitter account @1069thezone sits awaiting the launch.
