Update 1/1: “The Beat” has made its move from 104.9 to 94.5 as the LMA from Edward Graham shifts to the now former KBCT. With Graham taking the “Beat” format and moniker to 94.5, M&M has relaunched the 104.9 signal as competing Rhythmic CHR “Hot 104.9” KBHT.
The Waco Tribune reports that KBHT will be programmed by Qiant ‘Your Boy Q’ Myers and feature a slightly poppier version of the Rhythmic format. Clear Channel’s syndicated Breakfast Club will be heard in mornings on KBHT, while Steve Harvey replaces Russ Parr on 94.5 KWBT.
Original Report 12/4: M&M Broadcasting Rhythmic CHR “104.9 The Beat” KWBT Bellmead/Waco, TX will relocate to 94.5 on December 31.
The move will replace Kennelwood Broadcasting’s Talk “94.5 Info-FM” KBCT Waco on the 94.5 frequency. It appears as though current KWBT PD Edward Graham will be moving the Beat en masse to 94.5 via an LMA to his Edwards Media.
Meanwhile, M&M’s 104.9 frequency could become home to a competing Rhythmic CHR. Hot1049Waco.com was registered last month with social media accounts promoting “Waco’s # 1 For Hits and Hip Hop”. We’ll be monitoring this one closely.
