Alpha Media has a unique opportunity for a Content Director in Portland, Oregon, overseeing our leading news and sports stations, KXL & 750 The Game. This role is perfect for a creative and motivational leader with a proven history of driving engaging content across audio, digital, and social media platforms. Your Mission:

• Spearhead strategies to boost ratings, revenue, and reach making KXL & 750 The Game stand out in both the Portland and National content landscape.
• Foster collaboration across sales and promotions to produce compelling content that captivates our audiences and benefits both our listeners and advertisers.
• Mentor and guide high-profile on-air talent, enhancing their connection with audiences across various platforms.
• Use insights from Nielsen and digital analytics to refine our content strategy, maximizing audience growth and brand development.
• Cultivate meaningful relationships within the industry and local community to further our reach and impact.
• Ensure all station content complies with FCC regulations and aligns with our company values and legal standards.
• Demonstrate exceptional leadership, nurturing a talented team to their fullest potential through effective training and development.
  Who You Are:
• A seasoned Content / News Director with 5+ years of winning in major market media, ready to lead in a dynamic environment.
• A digital expert, fluent in social media trends, content management systems, and online strategies. Video editing skills are a plus.
• A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of both formats and the ability to write and help produce compelling over-the-air and digital copy that creates lean-in listening experiences.
• An organizational guru with impeccable communication, capable of juggling multiple priorities who understands we have three equally important customers; our fans, our sponsors, and our teammates.
• A problem-solver and creative thinker, adept at navigating challenges and seizing opportunities to elevate content, ratings, and sales.
• Independent and driven, with a solid track record of making impactful decisions.
• A leader with a passion for coaching, committed to inspiring your team towards excellence.
