Saga Launching Des Moines Outlaw

A couple weeks after moving Standards 1350 KRNT to FM as “Legend 104.5” and launching “ESPN 1350“, Saga Communications is launching an additional FM translator in the Des Moines market. 93.7 K229CC Winterset will complete its move to downtown Des Moines as Country “93.7 The Outlaw” rebroadcasting 102.5 KSTZ-HD2. Positioned as “Legends & Young Guns” the new format will bring competition to Cumulus’ combo of “97.3 Nash-FM” KHKI and “92.5 Nash Icon” KJJY. K229CC will operate from the KCCI-TV tower in downtown Des Moines with 250 watts at 132 meters (Coverage Map).

The frequency shift will enable the translator to keep its second-adjacent status to KNRS-FM Centerville after it moves from 105.7 to 105.9. FCC Applications 4/26: Next Phase Of Salt Lake Shuffle Upcoming

Station Moves The long gestating frequency shuffle involving many Salt Lake City area frequencies is coming even closer to fruition. iHeartMedia’s 105.7 KNRS-FM Centerville and 106.5 KAAZ-FM Spanish Fork have applied to make their moves to 105.9 and 106.7 respectively. Neither station will make any other change to their facility.
