Sports “XL 950” WXLW Indianapolis has flipped to a simulcast of sister Talk “Freedom 95.9” WFDM-FM Franklin.
The Pilgrim Communications stations are now being branded together as “Freedom 95“. 95.9 WFDM-FM previously only covered the southern portions of the Indianapolis metro with its 3.4kW signal. The addition of 950 will at least give the station daytime coverage throughout the market with its 5kw daytime signal. WXLW currently operates with just 117 watts at night, with a Construction Permit that would see the drop even further to just 36 watts.
“Freedom 95” carries syndicated programming around the clock including America’s Morning News, Laura Ingraham, Dave Ramsey, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, and Mark Levin. Among the programs no longer airing in the Indianapolis market due to the demise of “XL 950” are ESPN Radio’s Colin Cowherd and Scott Van Pelt and Yahoo! Sports Radio’s Steve Czaben
