Hubbard Broadcasting’s 820 WWFD Frederick, MD has broken off its simulcast of sister “Federal News Radio” 1500 WFED Washington.
The station is now running the Eclectic music programming of “The Gamut” that runs on 103.5 WTOP-HD3 Washington and 107.7 WWWT-HD3 Manassas, VA. DCRTV.com states that WWFD will continue to air Sports programming from WFED including Washington Wizards basketball, Washington Capitals hockey, and Baltimore Ravens football.
WTOP’s website describes the Gamut programming such:
“The Gamut” is a cross-section of all styles of music, made for lovers of music. Sample artists include Scissor Sisters, Doris Day, Mumford And Sons, Devo, Elvis Presley, Boney M, Johnny Cash, as well as Washington DC area local artists. Current music and its influences all the way back to Pre-WWII are represented, selected and arranged to appeal to multiple generations of music lovers.
WWFD operates with 4.3kW daytime and 430 watts nighttime.
