Original Report 6/22: With Signal Media preparing to close on its purchase of Gospel “Hallelujah 106.7” KHLR Benton/Little Rock, AR from Clear Channel it is now becoming apparent what direction the station will take.
Signal has registered 1067TheBeatLR.com for use when it takes over operations of the station. This will seemingly put the station in direct competition with Citadel’s “Power 92.3” KIPR and Flinn’s “Streetz 101.1” KZTS for the Urban audience and/or Citadel’s “Alice 107.7” KLAL and Crain Media’s “K-Hits 96.5” KHTE for the CHR audience.
Signal Media also owns Classic Rock “The Point 94.1” KKPT and Sports “103.7 The Buzz” KABZ in the Little Rock market.
I just had an opportunity this morning to listen to your station. Boy, you guys were really jammin’ and did it ever bring back memories. Please keep it this way with no change. I enjoyed every minute of it and even thought I can’t get the station at my job, I will definitely keep the other radios tuned to 106.6
Thanks for the memories!
