After stunting with the sounds of nature for a few days, Burbach Broacasting flipped Rock “Rock 105.7” WOBG-FM Salem/Clarksburg WV to CHR “Hot 105.7” WHTI on Thursday.
The station has picked up the syndicated Elvis Duran Show for mornings.
Original Report 1/23: A format change is in process at Burbach Broadcasting Rock “Rock 105.7” WOBG-FM Salem/Clarksburg WV.
The station, which has featured a Rock format since 1990, is currently stunting with the sound of crickets chirping in preparation of debuting a new format. No word on what is next for the station yet, but it did change call letters to WHTI on Monday.
I’m in the area. The station is now “Hot 105.7”. Branded as “Today’s Hottest Music”. Sounds Top 40/Hot AC.
Good choice of a format in an area inundated with country and classic rock. Last somewhat “contemporary” station in the area flipped to the God Squad a few months back. The problem will be the lack of coverage outside of the Clarksburg area. They should have placed the format on their co-owned country trimulcast of 92.7/102.7/103.9.
