Positioned as “The Songs You Remember”, KYNS launched with Al Jarreau’s “We’re In This Love Together”. The station has picked up the syndicated Delilah for evenings.
Update 12/20: Whatever new format comes to KYNS after the holidays will be branded as “B93.7“. B937SLO.com was registered on December 12 and already redirects to the former “SLO Radio News” site.
Original Report 11/26: Mapleton Communications has pulled the plug on News “SLO Radio News” 1340 KYNS San Luis Obispo/93.7 K229AK Baywood-Los Osos, CA after less than a year.
KYNS flipped to Christmas Music as “Christmas 93.7” today. The station had been airing America’s Radio News Network from 3am to 6pm daily and talk programs at night including Clark Howard and Overnight America. KYNS had been running a Liberal Talk format until late-January 2013.
