Corus’ “KRUZ 100.5” CKRU Peterborough, ON has completed its evolution from Classic Hits to AC as it rebranded as “Hits 100.5” at 10:00 today.
While remaining branded as “Peterborough’s Greatest Hits”, the station is now focusing mainly on music from the 90s through today. The move replicates a similar adjustment made earlier this year at 104.3 CKWS-FM Kingston.
Today at 10 a.m., Corus Radio Peterborough launched Hits 100.5, featuring more music, more hits and more fun. Hits 100.5 will feature a diverse and dynamic playlist showcasing today’s biggest names in music along with chart toppers from the 80s and 90s.
Tune in Monday through Sunday, for a 24/7 hits blitz from the past three decades including current hits from today’s most popular artists such as Katy Perry, Michael Bublé, Bruno Mars, OneRepublic, Kelly Clarkson, Serena Ryder, Maroon 5, Adele, to name a few. The weekday lunch hour will feature Super Hits @ Noon with Super Hits Saturday Night spinning the chart busters from 7 p.m. to midnight.
The on-air team will be familiar to Peterborough and area listeners with Pete Dalliday and Catherine Hanrahan hosting More Music Mornings weekdays, Dale Lowe during the midday and Gord Gibb in afternoon drive.
“Hits 100.5 is all about listener favourites and we’re certain the station will be a welcome addition to the Peterborough area,” said Dave McCutcheon, General Manager, Corus Radio Peterborough. “The combination of our great on-air team coupled with an energetic, upbeat and dynamic playlist will make for a great listener experience at work, in the car and at home.”
