Hawk Communications has announced it will take Classic Hits 1330 WSPQ Springville NY off the air on Sunday, December 31.

The station, which covers the southern portions of the Buffalo market, claimed in its Silent STA filed with the FCC that it had lost over $73,000 over the past two years. WSPQ featured a full service morning show, daily tradio program, and a wide variety of sports including the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, NASCAR, and local high school games.

Station administrator Donna Grant told the Springville Journal that “We don’t have the reach – and as more businesses fold the support is limited.”
