The three-way CHR battle in Nashville has dropped down to two.
Cromwell Group’s “102.5 The Party” WPRT-FM has shifted to a Hot AC mix that can best be described as Party Hits. This takes it out of direct competition with Clear Channel’s “107.5 The River” WRVW and Cumulus’ “i106.7” WNFN.
102.5 has shifted between CHR and Hot AC a few times in the past decade. The station dropped the original incarnation of “The Party” in 2005 to go Hot AC as “102.5 The Venus” and later “V102.5“. It late returned to CHR as “The Party” in August 2008.
