Digital Content and Multimedia Specialist

DESCRIPTION

The Digital Content and Multimedia Specialist creatively leads and oversees all of the digital platforms of WNRN while producing and contributing original content to each. Through the website, social media and other digital platforms, they will strategically plan, communicate and execute the promotion of our broadcast and web content, bridging all of the digital avenues to reinforce WNRN’s programming and initiatives. The position reports to the Music and Media Manager.

JOB DUTIES

Responsibilities include: Creating informed and strategic digital promotion plans; Managing copy, creating graphics, medium and short-form video, and photos for our digital platforms (website, social media, et al.) with attention to detail, branding and continuity; posting and scheduling content to reinforce participation, engagement and interaction; effectively tracking and reporting listener, member and viewer involvement through those platforms with actionable data and reports; creatively communicate messages to our listeners following WNRN style guide; attending and documenting events and on-site promotion to capture photo and video; providing assistance and support to the Music and Media Manager as needed with off-site events, promotions and activities.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Qualifications include:
– 2+ Years experience in digital marketing or social media/content management including graphic design, video production and photography. (Arts, entertainment or music experience strongly preferred)
– Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or relevant field preferred, but not required.
– Strong proficiency and knowledge in Adobe Platforms (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, etc.), with audio-editing experience (Audition, ProTools, etc.) preferred but not required.
– Experience in leading production of creative content within brand guidelines with outstanding communication practices, planning and organization.
– Experience and proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Drives, Docs, Sheets or equivalent)
– Experience with WordPress Website Platform Management or equivalent
– Ability to travel within our broadcast area (Virginia) for events when needed
– Must bring a creative spirit, a drive to expand and evolve WNRN’s product, appreciate great music, the experience of live and local events and embrace the culture of WNRN’s community From the Blue Ridge to the Bay (and beyond).WORK SCHEDULE

WNRN is located in Charlottesville, however this position may be hybrid, with the understanding of weekly required in person meetings in Charlottesville.

SALARY

$55,000-$60,000/year
