After sixteen years at Townsquare Media Utica NY, Dave Wheeler has departed the cluster.
Wheeler has served as Cluster Director of Content since 2018 and had been hosting mornings on Country “Big Frog 104.” WFRG since the start of 2025. During his tenure in the cluster, Wheeler previously programmed and hosted mornings at Classic Hits “96.1 The Eagle” WODZ and predecessor “Oldiez 96.1“, was APD and morning host of AC “Lite 98.7” WLZW, and hosted afternoons and mornings at WFRG.
CNYRadio.com, which first reported Wheeler’s departure, says that incumbent co-host Stacey ‘Polly Wogg’ McAdams will be rejoined on an interim basis by her retired husband Bill ‘Tad Pole’ McAdams. He first retired in January 2022 from a 43 year radio career including 15 at Townsquare Utica and WFRG that included time as cluster Operations Manager. He would unretire in late 2023 until Wheeler replaced him at the start of 2025.
