Kenneth and Heidi Witt’s Lonestar Broadcasting Group has closed on its $900,000 purchase of Villecom LLC’s four stations in Central Texas and immediately relaunched one of them.
Country “The Mighty 93” KSTV-FM Dublin/Stephenville relaunched as “Cowboy 93” with a shift to Red Dirt Country. Kenneth Witt will also host mornings from 7-9am weekdays on the station.
A rancher, podcaster and former attorney, Kenneth Witt told Beneath The Surface News, “About four months ago, I decided that I wanted to do something different, so I started looking for an investment doing something that I would love.”
Sellers Boots Elliott and Bob Haschke will maintain some roles with the cluster. Elliott will broadcast local high school sports, while Haschke will serve as a sales consultant.
