Saga Communications reported a net revenue decrease of 6.5% to $26.4 million for Q2 2026.
Saga says station operating expense increased 5.4% for the quarter to $23.4 million compared to the same period last year, or 3.9% excluding non-cash rent expense due from last year’s sale of 24 towers and real estate properties last October for $10.7 million and renting them back.
Saga notes operating income of $623 thousand compared to $1.4 million for the same quarter last year and station operating income (a non-GAAP financial measure) decreased 50.6% to $3.0 million. Net income of $960 thousand for the quarter compared to $1.1 million for the second quarter last year.
The company’s had $27.8 million in cash and short-term investments as of June 30, 2026. As of August 10, 2026 that was at $22.9 million in cash and short-term investments. The decrease was primarily due to the repayment in full of the $5.0 million outstanding under their revolving credit facility.
