Eleven months after dropping its former Soft AC “98.7 The Cove” identity for Sports, Viper Communications has dropped the “Fox Sports 98.7” brand on K254BE/KRMS-HD4 Osage Beach/Lake of the Ozarks MO.
K254BE is currently stunting with Christmas music as “98.7 The Christmas Station“. While the station isn’t a newcomer to the seasonal format shift as it did so as recently as last year, the move follows the drastic flip to Sports last January 1 which saw the arrival of Premiere Networks’ Fox Sports Radio network and Kansas City Royals baseball to the station.
