Dispatch Media Group has flipped Hot AC “Mix 97.1” WBNS-FM Columbus, OH to Sports as “97.1 The Fan” simulcasting sister station 1460 WBNS.
“The Fan” is the flagship station of the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets and Ohio State University as well as the local affiliate for the Cleveland Indians. The station carries the ESPN Radio network outside of a 12-2pm show hosted by Mike Ricordati and Scott Torgerson and a 4-7pm show hosted by Bruce Hooley, former NFL player Chris Spielman, and ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit.
Meanwhile, across town Clear Channel has flipped Talk 1230 WYTS to Sports as “Fox Sports 1230”.
