Update 9/9: EMF has assigned its rights to purchase 92.3 WSGA to WRGO-FM Radio LLC.
WRGO-FM Radio owns Classic Rock “104.7 The Hawk” WTHG Hinesville, and at one point was co-owned with WSGA and 100.1 WSSJ, which is in the process of being sold to L&L Broadcasting.
Original Report: 7/19: Scott Savage, the bankruptcy court appointed receiver of the former Tama Broadcasting stations, has agreed to sell “Classic Country 92.3” WSGA Hinesville, GA to EMF Broadcasting.
The $525,000 purchase will bring EMF into the Savannah market, which the station rimshots from the south.
The sale comes just a couple days following EMF’s purchase of 105.1 WNGA Clermont, GA from Tugart Properties for $675,000. That station serves the northeastern portion of the state.
