Original Report 8/29: On the heels of Newcap flipping Classic Hits “96.5 Kool-FM” CKUL Halifax to AAA “Radio 96.5” on Monday, another station appears poised to fill the newly opened niche.
Maritime Broadcasting Systems’ Classic Rock “89.9 Hal-FM” CHNS is promoting that some changes are coming at 8am on Friday, August 30. Whereas CKUL’s former Classic Hits format registered a 9.6 share in the Spring 2013 BBM ratings, CHNS trailed far behind at a 1.9 share stuck between CKUL and its sister Rock “Q104” CFRQ’s 9.8 share.
