ESPN Comes To FM In Rochester

ESPN 95.7 W239BF 950 WROC Rochester John MurphyEntercom has closed on its $150,000 purchase of 95.7 W239BF Greece, NY from Family Life Ministries.

The closing coincides with the translator’s move to Rochester and upgrade to 250 watts at 138.1 meters from the tower of 101.3 WRMM (Coverage Map).

W239BF is now rebroadcasting Entercom Sports “ESPN 950” WROC Rochester via 92.5 WBEE-HD2, and positioning itself as “ESPN Rochester” with the FM signal emphasized in the logo. The station airs the national ESPN lineup along with a two hour 7-9pm program hosted by Buffalo Bills play-by-play host John Murphy that also airs on sister 550 WGR Buffalo. WROC/W239BF is the local Rochester affiliate of both the Bills and NHL Buffalo Sabres play-by-play.
