Alpha Media Sports “ESPN San Antonio” 1250 KZDC San Antonio has launched an FM translator.
94.5 K234CI San Antonio has signed-on rebroadcasting the programming of KZDC. The 250 watts at 126 meter signal covers San Antonio proper (Coverage Map).
K234CI was one of three translators acquired by Alpha Media in July. Still to launch are 103.3 K277CX Terrell Wells, which will rebroadcast an HD subchannel of 94.1 KTFM and 107.1 K296GK Pleasanton, which is proposed to simulcast News/Talk 550 KTSA.
Alpha Media San Antonio announced today that 1250 ESPN is now on the FM dial at 94.5 making this San Antonio’s first FM Sports Talk Station.
Alpha Media San Antonio Operations Director, Greg Martin commented on the announcement, “I am thrilled that Alpha Media recognizes the importance of its AM properties having a presence on the FM; exposing our brand to a large audience who rarely uses AM.”
ESPN San Antonio’s all-star lineup includes Mike and Mike, Collin Cowherd, Dat Nguyen(former Dallas Cowboy and A&M linebacker), Antonio Daniels (former San Antonio Spur), Jason Minnix, and Ari Temkin, and can now be heard in crystal clear FM. ESPN San Antonio is also home to the Houston Texans, Texas Rangers, World Series, and Texas Tech Football.
