Translator Applications

FCC Update Translator Construction Permit ApplicationsIt’s not the upgrade to 99 watts that 103.9 W280EM Chicago stated they were going to file for, however Windy City Broadcasting is seeking to increase power while lowering antenna height. The translator will shift from 15 watts at 536 meters to 17 watts at 341 meters from the John Hancock Tower in downtown Chicago (Coverage Map).

Charles Crawford’s 94.1 W231CU Miami continues its move down the dial as it upgrades its signal. The next move will take it to 104.7 from the North Miami tower of ten full powered FM’s where it will operate with 99 watts at 231 meters rebroadcasting an HD subchannel of iHeartMedia’s 93.9 WMIA-FM (Coverage Map).

Educational Media Foundation’s 89.3 K207DU Spring Valley/Las Vegas, NV seeks to modify its existing CP to move to 95.1 to operate with 99 watts at 62 meters rebroadcasting 89.3 KAER Mesquite (Coverage Map).

Ted McCall’s 105.9 W290BW Greenville, SC applies to increase to 250 watts at 105 meters (Coverage Map). It will continue to rebroadcast Sports “ESPN Upstate” via 93.7 WFBC-HD2.

East of Birmingham, Radio Assist Ministry’s 94.9 W235BQ Pell City, AL applies to 94.1 with 250 watts at 289 meters rebroadcasting Classic Hits 1430 WFHK Pell City (Coverage Map).

Manning Broadcasting’s 102.1 W271BV Hagerstown, MD proposes moving its tower location into Hagerstown proper with 250 watts at 77 meters rebroadcasting 106.9 WWEG Myersville (Coverage Map).

Covenant Network’s 100.5 K263BG St. Clair, MO seeks to relocate to Grays Summit with 75 watts at 138 meters rebroadcasting 90.3 WMSH Sparta, IL (Coverage Map).

Walla Walla University’s pending acquisition of 90.5 K213DP Richland, WA applies to modify its CP to move to 103.9 to operate with 15.5 watts at 281 meters rebroadcasting Christian AC 91.3 KGTS College Place.

Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls’ 88.5 W203BB Norwalk, CT seeks an increase to 14 watts at -11 meters (Coverage Map). Calvary also applies to move 91.5 W218BK Brunswick, GA to 91.7 with no change in its 55 watts at 60.7 meter facilities (Coverage Map).

Dan Priestly’s 106.1 W291CO Ellsworth, ME applies to upgrade to 250 watts at 37 meters rebroadcasting News/Talk 1340 WNZS Veazie/Bangor (Coverage Map).

First Ventures Capital Partners seeks to move 88.7 K204FM Fairmont, MN to 88.1 with a drop from 15 watts at 84.5 meters to 8 watts at 81 meters (Coverage Map).

New Grants

Alex Media has been granted a CP for a new station on 96.7 in Lead, SD with 100kw at 501 meters serving the Rapid City market (Coverage Map). Alex Media originally one the bidding for the station in the 2012 FCC Auction to operate on 94.3. The move to 96.7 will require Mount Rushmore Broadcasting’s silent 96.7 KZMX-FMHot Springs, SD to shift to 96.3.

Playa Del Sol Broadcasters has been granted a CP for 98.1 K251BX Indio, CA with 25 watts at 169 meters (Coverage Map). The translator will rebroadcast Spanish Christian 1400 KESQ Indio.

Station Changes

Mount Rushmore Broadcasting Oldies “Melody 94.5” KMLD Casper, WY has been operating under Special Temporary Authority with 150 watts at 523 meters. It has applied for new permanent facilities with 18kW at 512 meters (Coverage Map).

Concord-Carlisle Regional School District’s 88.3 WIQH Concord, NH proposes to increase from 100 watts at 7 meters to 100 watts at 28 meters (Coverage Map).

Iowa City Broadcasting’s 94.1 KTRF-FM Red Lake Falls, MN applies to increase from 50kW at 52 meters to 50kW at 98 meters (Coverage Map)
